It’s that time of year again and what a WONDERFUL time it is! October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month! For where would our world be without amazing woman, moms, daughters, sisters, best friends and well we said it… breasts! However, in all seriousness let’s take a moment to recognize those who have suffered from breast cancer. Nearly 40,000 woman in 2010 were expected to pass away from breast cancer. Therefore, we must all ban together to make an impact to support and save those we love. We must honor those who have survived and those who are victims or have lost a loved one. This month our team at Poetry Booths celebrates you!

Brides Against Breast Cancer is a distinguished 32 year old organization, here is an exerpt of their mission statement:

"It is our intention to “make a difference” in the lives of those suffering from this devastating disease. Our wish-granting service helps put the realities of this terminal illness aside, if just for a few days, while providing the opportunity for a family to spend quality time together. Our hope is that every metastatic breast cancer patient will be able to pass from this world comforted with the joy of having left his or her family a final beautiful memory—something the family will look back on and remember for a lifetime."
