With October coming to an end, we must give a big thanks to all of whom we have had the pleasure of meeting throughout the wedding community this past month. We have attended various vendor and corporate events, worked with the Wright Foundation via Amber Events, attended a homecoming for Vista High, and endulged in weddings each weekend. In all, we must say, there aren’t enough days in a month! Poetry Booths enjoys keeping busy, with a well-rounded agenda!

Poetry’s Outings for October

The Wright Foundation

In early October we received a lead from event coordinator, Jesi Haack  (Jessi Haack Design) our friend and uber talented event designer and planner who referred us to the lovely Amber Gustafson of Amber Events. Amber reached out to us on a whim two days before her event at the Wright Foundation, a charity that supports children afflicted with eye disease. She had hired a photobooth company for her event and they fell through. Well of course, we told Miss Amber, to have no fear! Two days later we donated our booth to a touching event at Mel’s Diner at the Hollywood Musuem. We learned that the Wright Foundation was started by Dr. Wright- a miracle worker who has performed hundreds of surgeries to help children from low-income families in the Los Angeles area and the monies raised cover the surgery clinic fees, glasses, and follow up care for these kids.

Beyond this Poetry even received two wonderful thank you letters for our attendance and we could not be MORE proud that our booth was able to put a smile on their children’s faces. Our booth truly loves to capture the smiles of each kind face! Executive Director, Valerie Benzimra of The Wright Foundation writes, “Due to your generosity and the generosity of the many friends of The Wright Foundation, our Fabulous 50's Fight for Sight was a resounding success! The work of the foundation is supported by private gifts and institutional grants with funds going directly to the care and treatment of under privileged children. Our clinic provides a caring, child friendly environment where no child is turned away due to lack of insurance or financial resources.” What a blessing Dr. Wright and his staff truly are!

Nixon Library Open House

Nixon Library is known for their special event services. Having featured this amazing wedding venue numerous times for the regal grounds on which it stands- it is a stunning "replica of the White House east room".  Our booth has had the pleasure of attending numerous weddings since our company opened a few years ago!

On October 16th, 2011 we were invited to attend the Nixon Library Open House from 12-2pm. We were cordially invited to showcase our booth to those wedding shopping and just browsing. The event included touring the grounds and inviting potential clients to eat cake, sip champagne, and be "wowed by amazing table top designs from the area’s best floral designers".

La Costa Resort and Spa Holiday Event Party

A unique experience presented by the "first-class luxury" of the La Costa Resort and Spa  nestled in Carlsbad, CA. They offered an opportunity for future and potential clients to browse the newly reinnovated resort as well as test out future vendors for events, meetings and weddings. Of course, Poetry was a highlight with nothing but positive vibes!

Vista High School Homecoming

Straight out of the pages of Glee, Poetry grazed the walls of Vista High's gym! Our booth perhaps could have used some parental guidance!
