Alyssa Orhun is the proud owner and creator of Eventsitter. Brace yourself people, this service is the 1st of its kinda in the San Diego area. Just what is Eventsitter? It is a smart, convenient and cost effective way to occupy your children or young guests while the event is on. So Poetry just had to get our hands on the information about this unique experience. We get it, you get it- sometimes it can be stressful attending a formal wedding with your little ones. The actual ceremony requires "quiet time", while the reception excites with loud music, alcohol, dancing- all without a wrist band (so no ID required) for these tiny tots!

But this event sitting service is as easy as 1,2,3!

Their site explains "You provide the space and we will do the rest. We arrive early to set up and completely restore the space at the end of the event. We will even serve the kids a meal you provide or arrange a pizza party for youngest guest. We customize each event to the specific needs of the client. Our site supervisors and professional staff members arrive with everything needed to transform any space into an experience every child will remember. Our programs are designed for children 6 weeks to 16 years old."

Looking for a Deal? Until September 15th, Eventsitter is offering 40% off their Gold Package, Contact alyssa@eventsitter.com for more details!

So with this being said, check out Eventsitter and give your little tikes or teens an experience they will always remember! With their pleasant & responsible staff, Poetry cannot wait to work with them again at our next event!

The Broke-Ass Bride

Doesn't the name "Broke-Ass Bride" say it all? Who couldn't love the name, the deals, the ideas from this one of a kinda site geared towards offering brides an effective budget plan that is sure to keep them coming! This week on Facebook we recently met one of the writers for the first time and had the pleasure of offering one of our promotional discounts on their newsletter. Thus, this brought Poetry to rave about their "free" promotional spotlight, they even help out their fellow vendors, what do ya know!

Here's B.A.B's Motto:

"The Broke-Ass Bride inspires and empowers you savvy, unique readers and brides to be, to make the most of what you have by using creative, outside-the-box ideas rooted in practical advice, to save your money and your sanity. From weddings to lifestyle and everything in between… we’re sharing the love and the know-how, kicking ass in every direction!"

We Love Creativity

/system/images/0000/5497/creativity.jpg

A good friend of Poetry's, Brooks Sterling has established himself  as a local artist and designer in San Diego. This brought about the idea to start We Love Creativity in 2008, as part of the hip downtown social scene for San Diego. Since then he has grown himself and WLC to be a prominent part of promotional events for artists and clubs alike. The concept of WLC is allowing artists of all forms to present their creations to the public in a nightlife environment.

According to WLC's website "In early 2010 Brooks teamed up with web guru Blaine Robison to help build the WLC online community. WLC now has a blog, storefront, hidden links, and a bunch of other nonsense that makes us feel important."  The beauty of WLC is its creative movement to bring the local art community and art lovers together as one. From their own personal art work such as "Death of a Hipster" & "I'm friends with the Cool Kids" (see above) who doesn't love this innovative personality on print? Follow their blog and social media for unique events!

Stay tuned for more of Poetry's Vendor Spotlights. You never know if we will pick or highlight you for your one of a kind entrepreneurship! Like what you see? Follow us on Twitter or Facebook, we will like you & follow you too!
