Best ways to enjoy a Summer Night:

Events!

The most enjoyable evenings are effortless. Every summer it seems as though an event is always "around the corner", so check us off your list by making sure to achieve summer gold in our Poetry Photo Booth. Our red curtain will definitely make you a wild one! What's even better? It takes nothing more than a press of a button, a smile and flash!

Boat Shoes

Yes we said it. Boat shoes are the sweetest casual way to walk the beach, grab some dinner at your local sushi spot, or even just run some after work errands with your sweetheart. Nothing is better than being classy and comfy!

Bonfires

Whether in high school or with family, no one is ever too old to pack up some firewood, graham cracker, Hershey's chocolate & marshmallows for a chill evening by the ocean or at your local camp ground.

Backyard Theatre

Somewhat "Shakespearian" with a twist of gypsy can add some glimmer to your evening. Invite your friends, neighbors, playdates and relatives for a night under the stars in your own backyard. It's a safe way to see your favorite new release or your all-time favorite flick.

The County Fair

Somehow, the good ol' county fair says summer all over it. For decades the fair has been a local niche to share happiness and good times with the community and those closest to you. If the fair is in your neck of the woods, schedule a trip and you will be delighted to be a kid again!

P.S. While you are there, vintage photo booth or digital photo booth? Which do you prefer?

Vacation!

Nothing can make summer more complete than a quality vacation in the tropics, near the coast or on an island! Take this picture, it encompasses the look of the ultimate relaxing dinner, sipping your favorite cocktail and listening to the ocean breeze.

The Organized Bride to Be

March 30, 2012

Whether you are newly engaged or just days to go until your big day, you need to know 2 things: the heimlich maneuver & how to breathe like you are in a lamaze class. But all jokes aside, Wedding Planning is WEDDING PLANNING in all seriousness. We know this is the moment you have been waiting for since you were a little girl and it has to be JUST right. Fortunately, the wedding community loves themselves some newbee brides and there is so much to SEE and prep as you gear up for your dream day. With that being said, here are few tips to get into full planning mode!

Get Organized in 5 Steps:

Clean Up Shoppe!

/system/images/0000/7864/office.jpg

Let's talk about your home office. You know the one that stores the clothes you don't wear, the mail you never opened, the computer that stopped working 3 years ago? Take an evening or a lazy Sunday to really clean it up and wipe the dust off the curtains. Make this a retreat for you to spend time on those much needed nights on Pinterest and days searching for the ideal vendor.

Home Office Goods

Websites such as Rusell + Hazel are great for specific wedding needs and nicknacks you can use that are designed to help you organize your wedding planner, day-by-day. We love the planing notebook, it is a great hands on tool to store all of your calendar information & business cards!

Don't forget funky colors and chic office ware, make your home office a place of refuge as you battle the busy days ahead!

A Beautiful Mind

We saw this and fell in love! What a GENIUS idea to comprise when your mind and fingers can pin no longer! Simply hang up some clip boards (in a fashionable manner) and sort out the clippings, articles and designs that  you have saved throughout the years. Seeing everything laid out can help you began to visualize your theme & colors. If you are nearing your wedding, use this as a tool to make sure nothing gets missed!

Storage & Glee

{Save the Date}

When planning ahead, look into events within your community or city. Search local venues for your wedding by attending "open house" events that are free to attend and only for a few hours. You can casually walk around, browse the fancily clad vendor set ups, and really get a taste for the type of wedding  you want or new ideas you might not have thought of. Poetry Photo Booths takes part & pride in the bridal faire's and open houses we appear at. It is a delightful opportunity to meet face to face with owners, planners, photographers, and florists in the industry. We have to admit, the best vendors however, are the foodies mmmm mmm!! Free snacks, wedding tips and lots of goodies to take home to hang on that "oh, so crafty" wall of ideas you created (see above!)

The Nixon Library Open House is the perfect example. We recently attended their Open House on March 18th, their venue is located in Yorba Linda and is an elite Orange County venue that we recommend to any of our clients!

And of course, visit your favorite photo booth  as a "bride to be"!

Budget Bride? Try iDIY!

/system/images/0000/7873/img.jpg

One of the most important things you can do is to create a budget from the get go! Make a list of all the vendors and things you absolutely need and the cost for each. Make sure to check out i-do-it-yourself.com, download their uber handy PDF's to keep in your binder for your daily finds. If you are constantly on your iPad or iPhone, try making your own budget friendly Google spreadsheet & while your at it, follow us via Gmail, on Google+ for more tips, deals and news!

Most of all, Organized Bride...you can do it!

5 Reasons for Poetry at your Wedding!

February 23, 2012

You need us like the sun needs the moon, the stars and the sky, the hazelnut needs a latte, a pin needs its Pinterest... So we decided that at your next event it just deems obvious that we would explain to you with an ol' trick of a hat why a photo booth just makes sense!

As a photo booth, we see your smiles, your oh so crazy moments, your headshots, and even your group of 10 or so piled in like a Mini Cooper.

/system/images/0000/7450/packemin.jpg

But most of all we see our favorite faces year around share their memories long after the event is over. A photo booth in all its right produces memories for years to come. It's as sweet as a Candy Bar of goodies but it doesn't give you cavities, its as priceless as the moment you say "I Do" and it is well worth it because it gives your guests a good time throughout the event for hours!

TOP 5 reasons why POETRY is MUST (ache) at your next event!

We come prepared, no need to do it all Yourself!

Props of all assortments, options of color or black and white prints, a photo book to have your guests write on!

/system/images/0000/7468/propsandrec.jpg

We have so many options and it is a hassle free, smiles only environment! Once your guests jump into our red curtain, its their own mini private event for a couple to share their love, children to laugh and giggle as loud as they please, and of course the bride and groom, to show off their lighter side after all the seriousness is over!

We add a teaspoon of sugar!

/system/images/0000/7477/teaspoonofsugar.jpg

Weddings are meant to be sentimental and endearing...but during the reception its all about mingling and engaging with friends and family! A photo booth brings people together, breaks the ice and is really the cherry on top to the entire event! Trust me, as your premiere photo booth, we know!

Personalized Wedding Favor

/system/images/0000/7486/styling.jpg
